I certainly don't. The woman I'm seeing now hates this kind of nonsense.

I look at it like this: women who do this thing are kinda like how some poisonous animals in the wild are brightly colored. It serves as a warning to stay away.

Most of the list (60/70) is pretty standard chivalry/manners stuff in a relationship, but these 10 I take at least some issue with.
"9. Walks around with a handkerchief, ‘just in case.’"

No one does this. This is stupid, and you should feel stupid for demanding it.

"16. Texts back quickly."

Typically a huge point of contention in relationships because women often have a massive double-standard. If she doesn't text back, dudes usually assume she's busy or asleep and don't get too worried. Women assume you're dead or cheating and badger the f&%k out of you and never forgive you for not returning their 70k texts they sent you during the concert you went to with your friends for that band that she doesn't even like.

" 25. Learns to read you and knows when something isn’t right.

42. Remembers little details you tell him."

These go hand in hand, and are pretty much impossible. Women throw massive volumes of information at men. What I mean by that, is that they just talk and talk about endless nonsense from their day that we couldn't possibly care about. No one cares about how Sharon from work gave you the stink eye 4 years ago and about how y'all have been casting shade ever since! There's simply too much content for any man to commit everything to memory. It's all about learning how to pick out the key details. No man is ever going to be able to succeed at this to the level a woman who creates a 70 point checklist expects. It's just not a reasonable expectation, especially when we ask what's wrong, and women lie and say "nothing" or some other B.S. excuse that they expect us to probe through. If women would just be honest and upfront about what they want and what was bothering them, it would make relationships much easier. Instead, it's all about testing their man, and throwing him puzzles to solve. It's a game to them.

"29. Pushes you to become better without wanting to change you too much.

33. He teaches you without belittling you."

More examples of something that sounds right on paper, but is nearly impossible to accomplish in reality. The reason is that these are entirely up to the perspective and attitude of the woman on a given day. These are areas where just a mild sigh in the wrong place, or misconstrued phrase can change a woman's perspective from you being supportive to being frustrated. This can change their entire outcome of the experience from you "helping" to "lecturing", "mansplaining", or "belittling" her. This is a near impossible line to walk as the differences are extremely faint, and almost entirely NOT up to the man, but rather how the woman chooses to perceive him on that given day. It's especially difficult because 99% of the time, women don't want you to help solve their problems AT ALL! They just want you to listen and empathize and parrot their emotive responses back to them. They don't want you to actually fix anything. They just want to feel justified about getting all upset and desiring to act childish about it. If you try to help, you become the bad guy because it makes them feel like you believe they're immature or that they're not entitled to their feelings.

"48. Someone who never makes you question how he feels about you."

This is another one that isn't really up to the guy. Women question EVERYTHING! They over-analyze everything and always to come up with the worst possible explanation. Like with the texting example, it's never "he's out with his friends like he said," "he's asleep because he has work tomorrow," or "he's driving." They always assume "HE'S WITH ANOTHER WOMAN!!!!" or "He's dead, face-down in a ditch!!!! or "He's lost all interest in me!!! If he cared he would text back right now!!!!"

Women are the ones who always are coming up with answers to questions they are asking themselves and never allowing the man to answer. Every woman is constantly questioning whether their man really cares, no matter what he does. Even if he does every little thing they always wanted, they will question the motivation. "Is he really doing this because he wants to or because I told him that I like it?" "Is he doing this just to make me happy or because he wants something/is covering for something he did?"

"32. Doesn’t get jealous.

65. Always says yes to you.

70. And isn’t afraid to say I love you first."

This is terrible advice. Literally never do any of these things because a woman will never respect you if you do. Women THRIVE on being desired, but they also have no respect for a man who allows them to hold the power in a relationship. They want a man to desire them enough to get a little jealous and protect them. It shows that they're desirable and that their man likes them enough that he would fight for her. Women are SUPER turned on by that stuff so long as you're doing it at the appropriate times and measures. You can't be a snoop and constantly on their case about her with her friends or other people, but you have to be a little territorial when you're out in public with her and other single dudes around that might try and hit on her. You don't need to start fights or anything, but a little body language that shows that you're "marking your territory" can go a long way to making her feel special.

NEVER let her always get what she asks for. A woman will never respect a man who does this, nor will she hold any romantic attraction to him. NO is very powerful, and extremely important. You have to set boundaries and hold firm on them. She might pitch a fit at the onset, but will respect you more in the long run for it. If you say yes all the time, she will take it for granted.

Saying "I Love You" first is the ultimate act of vulnerability. It is the moment when someone is giving up all of their power in the relationship to their partner for at least one moment. If you do it too early, it's called pulling a "Moseby" and she will run for the hills. It's tough to know when you feel it, let alone when to say it. Women are skittish of guys who say it too easily, suspecting that they are either unprincipled liars who will say anything to get laid or that they are unattractive weak-willed men who are doormats and unworthy of affection or respect. If you say you've got feelings too early, she's going to go full Casper with a friendly ghosting.

So yeah, 60/70 of the list is good practice, but those last 10 are setting men and women up for disappointment.

I'd say that most sane, intelligent women agree, and arent endorsing the faux-feminist movement thats happening in our society. I don't consider myself a feminist, however, I do think that we should be raising a generation of women who are self-sufficient and striving to be anything that they want to be without having to be told that its not their place by a man who is threatened by her presence. I don't think women should be given quarter for their DNA, and I don't think that they should be handicapped by it either, and any man who is worth his salt should agree, ESPECIALLY if that man is raising a daughter, but also if he's raising a son. if we are going to make the world a better place then we have to do better by our children, and that's all there is to it.
It's very frustrating to try and live in the world as a woman when men assume that when one woman speaks that she speaks for all women, that is definitely part of the problem.

You could do all of that shite on the list but if you don't have a six pack for a stomach, a 9 inch cock, and a trust fund it still wouldn't be good enough.

So,I didnt read the entire list but some of the things that are being critiqued are just good manners. Holding open a door, pulling out her seat, standing when she sits. A lot of these were commonplace.Until feminism , then "strong independent women" started bitching that they could open their own door,, now you pussy soy boys ave bought into it and a perpetuating the problem.

opening the door and pulling out the seat are great ways to get a close up look at her arse,, words of advice, if going up stairs, walk behind. That way her fart ox is right if your face and you can get a nice up close look at her dumpster.

the hanky and waiting for sex stuff is bullshite of course, dont need a hanky is she swallows..

Women appreciate good manners and we should all strive to be proper gentelmen

I agree, but I’ve found this to be an OT thing more than a real life problem. The guys I encounter IRL don’t verbalize these opinions/beliefs if they have them.

I think a lot of people, especially young-ish white men, don’t verbalize their opinions on a lot of issues these days for fear of the consequences of saying a non-PC opinion around the wrong person, or having something taken out of context by the wrong person leading to rumors one can never dispel. shite that people say in public and online non-anonymously never goes away, and can resurface at any time weaponized with the right spin to ruin you socially, professionally, and financially.

People let it fly on the OT because it feels safer and more anonymous (though it’s really not).

so you think that the men here really feel the way they speak here and are just internalizing it for fear of being called on it publically? jesus, that's a scary thought.

That list reminds me of when I met my wife and she was wanting a relationship like her friend and husband had — he went everywhere with her, paid for her and her friends at lunch, always took trips together, brought her lunch at work everyday, etc....

I told my wife (girlfriend at the time) that if that was her image of an ideal relationship, then I was going to be a big disappointment to her so we should end it then and there. I was not looking to “become one with her” and that we both needed to maintain our own identities without smothering the other.

Been happily married to her for 20 years . . . her friend and her husband got divorced about 15 years ago. That list would smother any guy that tried to fulfill the demands.
