Again, i cant speak for “passport bros” since i dont even know what that means .. people have been living overseas and taking advantage of geographic arbitrage for decades.. whereas the term “passport bro” is something ive only heard of in the last 5-10 years……. BUT you are 100% correct, the #1 rookie mistake/ rule for an American/Westerner living overseas and dating or marrying a local woman is never EVER bring her back to your home country to live.. just like i am considered “exotic” in a developing nation (i know, it’s wild) but im dime a dozen in the US- she will go from being dime a dozen in her home country to being ‘exotic’ in America and unless she is an extremely rare (non-existent?) non-hypergamous woman- she will ditch your aging, sorry arse for a younger , richer guy within a year, you can book it .. only bring her home for visits, if at all .. personally i think the USA is circling the drain, also ive been priced out of being an American- so i dont have any interest in even visiting home for a while .

I think it's a complicated issue that men need to think more about before committing themselves, whether they plan to stay in whatever country abroad or bring the woman "back home". I've remained abroad for 36 years, been married to my (wonderful) wife for over 25 years, so it wouldn't be a problem to return (but she wouldn't do it permanently).
What I have seen, over and over, in SE Asia, are guys who go there to live and find a local wife. They (for the most part, there are exceptions) don't speak the local language, don't understand/appreciate the culture, and end up living in a place with other ex-pats as their only friends, experiencing their own culture vicariously. This has been made far easier with the advent of the internet; when I came here in 1988, there was one English language newspaper, books in English were expensive, and the only media was AFN (if you could pick it up on your radio). But even with this connection, they are still in a foreign country where many if not most look upon you as a source of money. It can be done, but I think it takes a special kind of person to pull it off. I hope you're one of them!

Thanks brother.. you are proof of exactly what i was trying to say.. if some nincompoop on the internet looked at you, found out you live in SE Asia and are married to a foreign woman- they would automatically label you a “passport bro”.. but you’ve been there since 1988 ! You have been there since literally decades before that term was coined, reinforcing the fact that - in most cases- labels are dumb .
As for me, i can appreciate that you found a good woman and “wifed her up”.. but I’ve already been married and divorced in the States, and though my experience wasn’t terrible, i know plenty of guys who have been railroaded and taken for everything they have, both in America and abroad .. far more, in my experience, than guys where it has worked out awesomely as it has in your case… so i cant ever see getting married again, though i can see possibly cohabitating if i meet a great woman .. and yeah, the selection and options in re to women outside of America are truly staggering .

Man, I am so sorry. After re-reading my post it's clear I left out some critical info: I'm in Germany and both my wives are German. That was totally misleading... But we have been to SE Asia a lot and know some successful transplants who made it work. Also a lot of stories like yours about guys getting ripped off.

I married a hot latina from overseas. Had always dated American women. Got sick of dealing with the normal american women BS.

No problem, my bad for misreading your post .. when you mentioned SE Asia then a few sentences later you said ‘when i came here’ i didnt realize you were in a different place.. all good, in my experience just about every place outside of N America has better options for dating /marrige than back home .

I tend to agree with you on the options. I've been shocked over the years at the increasing size of the population over there. I've never seen an electro-scooter at Oktoberfest!

I dont get it.
She says all the guys that are going overseas to get chicks are guys that she wouldn't even look at twice.
Why does she need to stop someone she wants nothing to do with?
fricking idiot.

She needs to be the object of their desire, but she doesn’t want to be with them. It’s a self-esteem boost for her.
If too many guys get partners overseas, there will be fewer guys to fawn over her.

Not a passport bro, but I did marry an immigrant. Despite being in America for 15 years before we met, she is still very grounded in traditional values that were instilled in her by her culture.
Considering what young men in America have to look forward to today, including divorce rates, narcissism, feminism destroying traditional values, etc. I will never judge a "passport bro" for wanting the same things I was fortunate enough to find.
I do know a guy who used Tinder to find a wife from Ukraine, but she went crazy once he got her to America. She was great for the 3 or 4 years he was flying out to see her while they waited to get her citizenship, but it didn't end very good for him

Who’s going to subscribe to her only fans if they’re all overseas spending money on women that like them? Make it stop!

Anyone know one of these people? Do old men with a filipina wife count?
I have a cousin that was school teacher for DoD who spent most of his career in the Philippines and Okinawa. He said that it was like shooting fish in a barrel. Granted, he's about 6'3", fit, and making an American salary, but he said that railing 10's on the nightly wasn't even a challenge in the Philippines.

I have been open about my wife being from Indonesia on this board and the insult I get from lonely midgets like Mingo is that I have a mail-order wife.
If I were to have gone "mail order" I would have opted for one half my age, like most dirty old pervs going that route do but instead I married one my age, and we were in our late 30s when we met.
My wife does look way younger than me, and still gets carded when we go to the casino, so I always tell her that people probably assume I am a passport bro who brought back a younger wife.

Yeah, she should be more concerned about that huge arse nose protruding from her face.

She's not even pretty, she should not be calling anyone "average."
