Woman shot in the back following Baton Rouge Christmas parade

"Twenty shots rang out Saturday night after an argument on the levee, resulting in two injuries. One of the bullets hit an innocent woman in the back and a boy running for safety was hit by an ATV. Both are expected to be ok."

At this point it would be strange if Baton Rouge didnt have a violent crime over the weekend. Just sayin.

I spent last night in the ER in Louisiana
North on Airline highway, got shot and still it hurts.
They got no hesitation, killing woman, man or child
It’s the same population, murder with a golden smile,

The mayor and police chief can’t seem to figure why
That every night in Baton Rouge somebody dies
To read another one’s shot dead’s no longer strange,
Thuggin’ and Lovin’ It, ain’t never gonna change,

Broome and Paul, talking tough about crime,
But we’ll add to the death toll one more time,

Feel this way when I don't hear anything about something going down in NOLA. We were doing a lot of the Christmas stuff with the kids down in NOLA over the weekend, and was just thinking how we had not heard about a carjacking being reported in awhile

Leaving the Nutcracker at the River Center on Saturday afternoon, I noticed the usual suspects were beginning to gather for the Xmas parade. I told my wife it would be a miracle if someone didn't get shot that evening.
