The year I spent there I lived right campus on spottswood. This incident has me kinda shook up

The eastern end? Not quite. The northern end by Bartlett and the mall. And Cordova ain’t what it was back in the 90s anymore, especially that part.

Yes. It's north of Germantown, west of Lakeland, east of Bartlett, on the northeast side of Cordova by the giant wolfchase mall area... Where so many of those suburban people think they're safe (and should be) and away from the Memphis garbage.
Point is, even the suburban spots in these major cities aren't safe.
People need to act accordingly, stay strapped and stay paranoid.

I have a son living in New Orleans. He’s on a great street in Uptown. A few blocks away...ghetto. He drives downtown to work...passes murder scenes often.

And I live in Monroe, La. I moved out of the town( because it’s a shithole) but I still work there. I know shitholes.

The white suburbanites of that part of town left over a decade ago. Cordova fricked up not incorporating and let themselves be annexed by Memphis. That and building a massive mall was the end of Cordova being a safe suburb
Regardless, this doesn’t have any signs of being your typical Memphis hood rat crime, so I don’t know why we’re victim blaming people for daring to live in Memphis

I'm not claiming Cordova is some sort of suburban heaven, theres tons of shithole violence there. That mall area is just a place where many suburbs meet and people generally consider 'not Memphis.'

It's the husband. It's already circulating on a few media spots. By morning, it will likely be confirmed. Apparently a vehicle and lawn shears have already been removed from the home. Prayers for this family.
