I don’t understand how staff didn’t know she was pregnant.

If she is in a vegetative state, chances are she isn’t a very big person. Staff would be doing total care on her 24/7. Seems like they would be able to notice her abdomen getting bigger. Or her not having periods anymore (if she still was having them).

Like I said....I’ve never heard great things about the place to begin with. We’ve sent kids there over the years and some got readmitted back to the hospital. Have had several family members tell me they didn’t want their child to go back there cause they didn’t think they got good care there.

It’s like a nursing home for children.

There’s also no guarantee that the rapist who did this is still employed there. He may have bolted at any point during the last nine months.

Also no guarantee that it was an employee

This story would take a really weird twist if it was a visiting relative

This isn't like a hospital. It's the same level of care as in a nursing home. And many of these children will automatically qualify for AHCCCS(AZ medicaid) because of their medical condition. So the state is paying for their care.

Some of these poor children may be the way they are because of abuse or drug or alcohol use in the mom while pregnant. Some of these kids are wards of the state.

The article said the woman was a near drowning. The accident could have happened when she was 10 and now she is 20.
