Never should have gotten locked up!

So far we have a criminal's point of view.
Barring them not knowing that she was giving birth, and her lying about them slipping a pad under there for her(is that on video?), I'm not quite sure what other POV you would need to come to a conclusion about this case. Even then, I imagine that someone with authority heard her screams and moans that come along with giving birth to a baby. Its inexcusable.

She stole a blank check from her sister's checkbook and tried to use it. She should have been charged but not jailed at 8+ months pregnant.

Those nurses should be stripped of their nursing licenses.
Absolutely unacceptable. No decent nurse would ever stand for such treatment of a pregnant woman, criminal or not.
I hope the baby is ok.

Someone needs to tell them the story about 100 “atta-boys” vs. one “awe shite”.

She was in jail for writing a check on her sister's account.

Well, that's just a shite comment no matter how you look at it. Careful not to pull something while bending over backwards to take up for a group of people who clearly screwed up and have no business managing a Taco Bell, much less a jail. All involved should be fired and I hope the woman gets paid well. This is a situation where there is literally no excuse. It actually took more effort to NOT do something than to ignore it.

There would be fewer jokes and dismissive comments in this thread if men gave birth.
Forget about her being an inmate, there were potential risks to the innocent newborn. They didn’t even check to see if it was breach, if the umbilical cord was wrapped around the neck, no fetal heartbeat monitoring...

Its honestly a story you would expect from a barbaric 3rd world country

It is absolutely insane that there are people in here who's first reaction is not to say how absolutely awful this was.

Exactly. Not to mention the obvious risk of massive infection to mom and baby. There could have been meconium at delivery resulting in baby not breathing, etc. Mom could have hemorrhaged after delivery, etc.
This isn’t something you should read about ever happening in this country in 2019.

Clips of silent surveillance video released by her lawyer show Diana Sanchez eventually lying down on a narrow bed, crying out in pain, before she pulls off her pants and delivers a baby boy July 31, 2018.
Small-time perp in county lock-up squeezes out a pup over six hours and everyone in the country watching CBS this morning gets to watch it (there was literally a camera postioned directly over the bed where she birthed), yet remarkably there is zero video available from the a high-level Federal holding facility in where Epstien, a povider of underage girls to the elite and possibly a IC pawn, hung himself. Go figure.

Dumb move by the jail. Why thought this was a good idea?
She's going to get paid.
As she should, this is sickening.

GTFOH... It's a terrible thing that happened, but don't act like people are only joking about it cause it's something that happened to a woman. This thread jokes about terrible shite that happens to men too.

that nurse is going to lose his license
quote:
Nurse Herch failed to do anything at all to assist Ms. Sanchez. Astoundingly, Nurse Herch responded that Ms. Sanchez was already scheduled to go to the hospital and, therefore, did not need any medical care.
Deputy Wherry informed Nurse Herch that the van run would be on a non-emergent basis and that Ms. Sanchez was about to experience childbirth. Nurse Herch lackadaisically acknowledged that he was aware of this fact but told Deputy Wherry that Ms. Sanchez would simply have to wait for the nonemergent van run and for the booking process to end.
