That's not going anywhere, so don't get yourself all riled up over nothing.

Such as?
The woman being belligerent and dismissive of the cop's complaint because she is sure she is right.
I think we've all seen that kind of insane stupidity, if not directed at a cop.
If it is truly less than a mile then it helps her a lot....but at the end of the day, it's not up to you to interpret the law. Or choose how you follow it.
Dunno if it is how it happened, but I can easily see scenarios where she wasn't apologetic in expressing her concerns.
Just fuel on the fire of a cop that for whatever reason wanted to teach her a lesson.
(BTW, take everything in that article with a grain of salt. It's obviously slanted and it contradicts itself)

nothing wrong with driving to a safe area to pull over

You'd think people would've learned by now that the article isn't ever the whole story.

The article is almost 2 years old, so we probably already know what happened too.

What a low standard you have, officer.

No there isn't.
But the law pretty much uniformly states if you see flashing lights in your rear view, you are supposed to pull over as much as can can.
Doesn't matter if it is a cop about to give you a ticket, a fire truck, or an ambulance trying to pass
Means that technically speaking you are leaving yourself to the mercy of others. Might be smart to show some tact and not just strut about like you feel like you have the right to do what you want.
Most cops won't give a ticket for that, and most of what's left won't as long you don't push their buttons.
I did chuckle at the dept saying that it was a fully marked squad car, as if you can see that behind you at night.

The fact that she didn't actually commit a crime is funny. Doing what she did isn't resisting arrest.
Posted on 1/2/17 at 8:43 pm to Asgard Device
You would think, after evaluating the situation, the cop would understand why she did what she did. You can't blame her for being concerned about whether or not it was a real cop or someone pretending to be one and it was 11:30PM. It isn't that easy to see if its an official police car. And where she decided to stop was less than a mile from the point he was trying to stop her.
That's just being a dick.

Today I learned that being respectful and polite to a stranger whom you have inconvenienced is low standards.
What a selfish society are we?
It's simple etiquette. The fact that it is towards someone who also had immediate legal power over you adds elements of common sense to the mix.

It may also cost her her job, because a nurse cannot work after being convicted of a felony, she said.
This confuses me because of this quote from the linked story:
Defense attorney Bob Harper, who is representing Good, said her concerns about pulling over along a dark county road are not unwarranted.
If she is being represented then she has not yet been convicted. Might want to let this one play out.

Ima go ahead and guess that there was a whole lot more to this story than what we are hearing...I would like to see the camera footage.
There's always more to the story. I'm sure she probably caught an attitude with the officer and refused to obey his orders.

This is not against the law. Catching an attitude does not equal probable cause for arrest.

It is if she disobeyed his orders to step out of the vehicle and place her hands in the air or on the hood of the car.
She's lucky she didn't get shot

It's true.
Charges dropped.
Charges dropped.

Not following instructions is different from getting an attitude.

She also could have called 911 to tell that cop she pulling into a safer area. I doubt that would have prevented her from getting arrested but it might prevent some people from getting shot.
My wife was told (by a police officer) to call 911 to verify it is an actual cop pulling her over if there is any question in her mind. 911 will direct you to a safe spot to pull over and inform cop whats going on.
