Actually New Orleans had a chance to clean up it's act after Katrina washed away the majority of it's ghetto trashy people but instead the ignorant leadership decided to embrace chutcha and double down on stupid.

Every big city? This was a domestic situation. Every nook and cranny town in this country has this problem.

Well, as usual, y'all are a bunch of idiots. My brother is working the case and that dude was her ex-boyfriend.

Yeah, the "Nola is a shithole crowd" is so played out. I mean, let's not wait to see what really happened. And damn, domestic violence killings are unique to New Orleans and don't happen anywhere else.

The OT told me that it's dangerous to ride bikes through Nola so I wasn't sure if I should cancel.

I wouldn't come anywhere near here. According to OT stats, you have a 101.5% chance getting killed in the New Orleans Metropolitan area.

Yeah. The nurse that was just walking by Willie's Chicken Shack when the bouncer's gun went off while he was trying throw out some goon.

Right, that line is played out.

But there is something no one wants to talk about. I've lived in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas. And I'll say this...

Way too many people in South LA have no concept as to how to properly handle conflict.

Disagree with someone? They want to fight, or worse, pull a weapon. Maybe it's the "meet at Sonic" mentality. But it's a huge issue. I see it in the schools. I see it in the ballparks. I see it in traffic. I see it at graduations.

We had picture day for our softball teams a few weeks ago, and baby mama of 5 year old boy beats the crap out of new girlfriend when she walked in the gym to order pictures for baw dad who was offshore.

By the way, they were white. The two baws I saw fighting at a kindergarten graduation a few years ago? White. Big Lee and the guy who shot him? White. This current case? White. The guy who shot Joe McKnight? White.

So spare me the "culcha" talk or insinuations that this is limited to one race. It's all over South LA and it's trashy and pathetic and it's getting worse, and the kids see this behavior and think it's ok.

For the love of Christ...............

This is not a South La problem. 2 days ago a video was posted here of a Texas t-ball game brawl where a woman ran from the dugout and hit someone with an aluminum bat.

There was a kid in Mississippi that got hit with a helmet in a post-game high school football game brawl and had to be hospitalized.

If you want to get into why I think society is failing I'll be more than glad to do so but don't back just South La into that corner.

Wow, I was just there last night having dinner with a couple of people on my team that are in from out of town.

I was there last Tuesday night and Wed morning the street was blocked off by LSP and taped off one block from Canal because of a "Stabbing". Potentially two deaths in that week. Sad, FQ was nasty but safe in the 80's and 90's. It will never be safe again unless some major overhaul takes place.

You don't think it is worse here than other places?

I don't know what to tell you. I never saw parents fighting at graduations in Katy ISD...

Maybe in some of the poor/trashy places in TX/MS, and maybe we have more of those here in South LA.

When was this?

Yeah we all are from Chalmette. My cousins friend is also a friend of mine but I had not met her sister. I am guessing its the same case.

I know you're from Chalmette, it's why I asked.

She died 2 days ago I believe and the husband has been charged with 2nd degree murder.

Domestic situation. Fuzzy on the details.

Both of them are longtime residents as is their families.

I knew him.
