She died 2 days ago I believe and the husband has been charged with 2nd degree murder.

Domestic situation. Fuzzy on the details.

Both of them are longtime residents as is their families.

From the people I know down there who know him, they think he was overcharged.

Basically they got in a fight, he left, got in his truck, she grabbed the door handle and tried to get it, he threw it in gear, she fell under the truck, rolled over, dead.

Didn't seem like he tried to kill her, he just wanted out.

Seems like manslaughter or vehicular homicide might have been the right charge. I dunno.

Damn I just got a text from my mom saying my cousins best friends sister was shot in the face and killed by her ex. I am assuming this is the same story??

Does your cousin's best friend happen to be a married elementary school teacher?

I never thought it'd go like this for him.

I knew that much.

I'm actually behind the times as I just heard because I saw her obituary.

Actually happened awhile ago. Damn.

Same thing I heard.

Going to be an interesting trial.

Billy is having a bad year. His oldest daughter and ex wife were killed in a car crash awhile back. His only child left has to be hurting awfully bad right now.

Eta....I've read some interesting things from the folks there posting on Fakebook.

Yes

The only thing I am thinking is that maybe Nicosia is thinking overcharge to allow Billy to plead down to something less. Nicosia ain't a fan of actually having to go to trial.

You don't think it is worse here than other places?

No, I don't.

I don't know what to tell you. I never saw parents fighting at graduations in Katy ISD...

You're throwing out statements that cover a shite load of real estate with no real meat. Every La graduation doesn't come with a side of brawls.

Maybe in some of the poor/trashy places in TX/MS, and maybe we have more of those here in South LA.

How many fights do you see on a daily basis in your life in La?

Is your cousin's friend a 40-something year old lawyer?

It didn’t go off. The goon took it and started shooting

The reason NO is a shithole is that these types of things happen all over the city, including the touristy areas like the FQ

Nobody gets murdered on Rodeo Dr, or at 30 Rock

I dont think that accurate. But...if I was getting murdered in the streets, I'd at least want them to be free of feces.

Google Rodeo Dr murders. You get a bunch of stories about an anesthesiologist that killed a patient, and a jewelry story robbery from the 80’s

Then google French quarter murders and you can see a few from this year

Then Google what Beverly Hills police are or are not allowed to do compared to NOPD.

How the frick did Rodeo Drive become some kind of benchmark in this conversation?

The problem is the FQ isn't' policed properly. The show of force from Decatur to Rampart should look like they're preparing for an invasion. Instead they sprinkle in a few small patrol teams throughout the area. It's like herding cats.
