This reminds me of when I was younger, in middle or HS.. One of my good friends at the time had two step sisters who would go stay with them during the summer. One of them was our age. Evidently she got her period while there and was embarrassed so she decided to try to hide it.

She put her used tampons in a plastic bag in her drawer..

My friend was looking for something one day and if I remember, I think when they came down for the summer, he had to give up his bedroom and sleep in another part of the house. One day he was looking for something and went in their room to look around for it and found them.

His mom use to punish him for every little thing and when he found them he made a big deal about it and made his step sister cry so he got punished. He ends up telling all of us about it. She ended up moving in with her dad (my friend's house) and finishing school down here so when she started school, everyone knew about the period thing and she got it pretty bad. I actually felt bad for her..

That isn't the issue. The tampon wasn't used before prior to insertion. And to prevent toxic shock syndrome a woman should never go longer than like 6 hours with a tampon in without changing it.

I've seen women post in some fb groups I'm in about how much they love diva cups and I just find it disgusting. Many of them admit they do only boil the cups on occasion. And you have to reach inside you to pull the cup out...so your hands become one big bloody mess and if you don't insert it right...it leaks all over your clothes.

Hard pass.

Appropriating Native American culture is never cool and always takes precedence over monthly bodily function shaming awareness. This chick should be ashamed
