True story:
When I was a kid... call it 10-12. I wanted to dig my own underground hideout. So, for the entirety of one winter I dug a hole in our back yard, We lived on a slope that went back to a creek. So, most of our yard was kept pretty natural with only a small plot with grass then just oak trees and ivy going down to the creek. So 90% of the back yard was just natural area.
But my Dad would mow the whole thing once every spring to just beat down nature.
That spring, he found my hole...while riding the mower. It was only like 6x6x6.
I lost my shovel privileges.
