The fact that there are campus judicial/disciplinary hearings on matters that are clearly criminal is simply wrong. There shouldn’t be hearings about these things until AFTER criminal trials have concluded.
Suspend the student accused but save his or her place with the promise of full reinstatement and no mention on record if acquitted.

what if they lose a civil case? suspended again?
I think the current system is frickes up, but I also don’t think schools need the same levels of protection as criminal courts.

I'd be willing to guess that >95% of all rape accusations on a college campus are a woman trying to save face because she doesn't want dad/boyfriend/friends to find out who she went home with the night before.
