Classic

Evans

The main difference is the Evans has an added Vibram half sole on the forefoot whereas the classic is just leather. the Evans also has a 360 GY welt whereas the classic has a 270 degree GY welt. I’m leaning Evans although I think you can dress up the classic more.

You got some nice skinny jeans and a vest for your fedora, homo?

Don’t forget the plaid shirt.

Do you have a cute little handlebar mustache to compliment these homo boots?

Be sure to wear your best Colombia fishing shirt when I’m stomping your arse in my plaid at the sonic. Don’t forget to tuck it in.

You're going to lose all feel in the rudders of your fake plane with those heavy soles.

Get the Evans. I have a pair of 1,000 mile and that sole that comes with it wears out quick. Looks like the Evans has an extra rubber layer there.

Yeah it has a Vibram halfsole as compared to the classic. How has your pair had up? Any pics?

How is the chrome excel wearing?

Get the Evans. Vibram is good material.

That Goodyear welt means it is easier to recraft. Cheaper too.

I can’t speak to the Evans, but I’ve been wearing my 1000 Milers 2-3 days a week for two years now and I absolutely love them. I wear an 11 in athletic shoes and went down to a 9.5 for the boots.

As for the soles, unless you’ll be walking outside in wet or snowy weather, the leather soles should be fine. I live in Seattle and am a bus commuter, so I had some zip half soles added and it’s perfect for me.

I still love mine. They don’t take long at all to break in like say a redwing would. If I remember I will post a pic when I get home.

Another boot to look into is the red wing iron ranger. They are a tad bit more than the Wolverine but they will probably last you your life. Those will be my next pair.

Those are both nice but I'd go with Red Wing Heritage instead. Similar price.

Dress boots are my favorite article of clothing. I’d go Thursday Boots. Only $200 and look great. They also last twice as long as the Redwing Heritage I started out with.
