Take money out of the Principal's and staff's pocket personally and destroy their careers.
Go after the school district and destroy the board members careers and personal finances.
One thing you do not do is destroy a young persons will to improve themselves.

The principal and anyone involved should be fired and sued. That said, they did the kids a favor. Higher education is nothing but a liberal left/world economy cult. Academia is the top training ground for those seeking to end this country as we know it. It would just be more student loans taxpayers would have to pay for them

Punish the achievers for achieving to protect the underachievers.

So when you bust a gut to excel you don't get recognized for the effort. Yeah, don't want any light shed on those trying.

The principal is calling it TJ’s like it’s a fricking restaurant.
It’s been called TJ for as long as I can remember and I lived in NOVA for 40 years. Of all the things to get your panties in a wad over this isn’t it.

I would like one of our resident left-leaning posters to explain the reasoning from these two school administrators.
Well to be honest, the "left-leaning posters" on this site don't really see a problem with this. They have been brain-washed their entire measly lives and we should all just move on and accept their beliefs.

So much for keeping politics off the OT.

Yeah, blame the white people just like everything else.

Yep one of our rivals in HS was Thomas Jefferson Academy and everybody called them TJ

I just briefly skimmed the article but don’t see where it is clear whether the students were informed or not.
Yes I see the parents weren’t informed and the school’s ridiculous “reasoning” for not making a big deal out of it.
But did the kids not tell their parents or were kids never notified?
If the kids weren’t notified, how in the world has it taken this long to figure out there are no students at a “prestigious” high school getting these awards when most solid schools get them.

Apparently it’s only okay to cite hearsay as fact if the target is Thomas Jefferson.

This year the kids were informed after the early deadline had passed and nearly two months after the school received notification.

It appears that the kids from the previous four years were never notified of their status.

Equity is providing each student what they need to be successful. Equal outcomes is not equitable because students will pass and not have the skills needed to be successful in life. We will have people graduating high school who can't read or do simple math because of these policies that don't allow students to fail or get their feelings hurt in the name of Equity which in this application is just communism.
This is bigger than the commended students not getting anything. Being commended doesn't really get anything, scholarships really start with being a semifinalist and finalist for National Merit. The real issue is the communism. Start with schools, then next society.

Based on best evidence it was Thomas Jefferson not his brother that had relationship with Salley. It was the dna evidence and they face they sound a secret room in Monticello attached to TJ room for Salley Hemings.
No one can definitely say, but more evidence leans toward Thomas.

Man. As a parent of a gifted teen who will absolutely be a merit scholar without trying, I don't know that I can describe how angry this would make me. Hard to predict how I might react.
