“Darling,” he says, “I just got invited by my boss to go on a weekend company fishing trip. We’re leaving right after work so would you mind packing some things for me? I’ll need my blue silk pajamas, two days worth of clothes, toiletries, my fishing pole, and my tackle box. Oh, and don’t forget my blue silk pajamas.”

The husband arrives home a few hours later and his wife has a suitcase, his fishing pole, and his tackle box ready for him. “Thanks, honey, I’ll be leaving now. Did you remember to pack my blue silk pajamas?”

“Yes, dear, I packed your blue silk pajamas.”

The husband returns home on Sunday night and his wife greets him and asks how his fishing trip was.

“It was great,” he says, “Lots of fishing, lots of networking. Only problem was that you forgot to pack my blue silk pajamas.”

“No I didn’t,” she said, “they were in your tackle box.”

There has to be some level of trust, but also common sense.

Girls trips are perfectly fine.

If she all of a sudden says she is going Cancun during Spring Break as a 35 year old with a bunch of known sluts, perhaps draw a line

Disney sounds like hell on earth for me, but what a strange thing to not be okay with your spouse doing.

I use it as an excuse to play more golf and fish or drink more beer while watching football without being nagged. My wife and her tennis league friends take a long weekend trip somewhere every year.

If I felt the need to keep tabs on my wife 24/7 or not let her get out of my sight, then I wouldn’t have married her.

I don't care if my wife goes on vacation. If I had to state a rule, then I wouldn't be ok with her going on vacation with a male friend, obviously. But that's not something she would ever even suggest or have a desire to do anyways.

So yea, no issues from me.

Mine takes a girl’s trip once or twice a year. Have fun, give me some time to relax with the boys for a week. I went on two myself with the boys last year and a bachelor party. Not a big deal when you trust one another.

If you really knew what goes on on those vacations, you might have second thoughts

ETA: not all are nefarious. But I've heard stories about some that make me just feel bad for the dudes

I have a friend(woman, no pics,) that I've been friends with since we were both five, my wife(no pics,) and her are great friends, my friend loves to fish and fishes big game fish tournaments all over the world, I go with her on some of these trips, she has a place in Key West and I go fishing down there with her too, if my wife can't go she doesn't think a thing of it, she loves for us to spend time together

When is it okay, and not okay. I always see people's wives' doing girls vacations together. Where is the line drawn, with family?

I didn't marry a HOE so yeah i don't have much to say if she wants to go out of town with friends.

My wife has 4 sisters and i have 2, they are pretty much her friend group.

Plus as much time as i spend in the woods or fishing with my sons she would have plenty of time to cheat if that was what she is into.

No I don't require family to be there when my wife takes a trip Not sure why I wouldn't let my wife take a girls trip if she wanted to.
