Correct but the witness even mentioned he thought they were suspicious.

call me a racist profiler but just about every black yute I see on the streets in Baton Rouge appears suspicious to me, I'll expand that to the entire state of Louisiana

So two black guys in hoodies walk past you at a stopped train at 2am and shortly after you hear multiple gun shots close to you and you don't think anything of it? It doesn't cross your mind to maybe alert the police?

I've alerted the police for way less.

When you live in a shite hole city, you get used to shite. He says he used to live on Government and heard gunshots all the time. He saw the other car turning around as he turned around.

It doesn't seem odd to me at all. It does seem sad that the city is in such disarray and out of control that its citizens accept gun shots as common and not noteworthy.

The witness was close enough to know those weren't gun shots in the distance, but rather pretty close. And right after two suspicious people walked by.

I'm not trying to overanalyze his story, but there are some odd parts to it.

The guy was probably drunk. Easy to convince yourself of whatever to avoid dealing with cops when you think it might go badly for you. I would guess the witness has some regret about how he handled it. I probably would.

He was leaving a bar at 2 am, so you are probably right. The last thing he wanted to do was call the police.

Yep. He probably had a few drinks. That coupled with the fact that he had lived on Government street previously and knew that hearing gun shots at night was a common occurrence and the fact that he saw the victims car back away, it's pretty easy to see why he didn't call the police.

I know right. Hence, the “I’m confused” and the question I posed to get clarification.

You've been confused the entire time about this case. Every detail. I think you might be mentally retarded.

It’s sickening

And what about those sketch artists? Of course THAT would have been WAAAY too much to ask. They would have laughed at such a request….

LIVID!!!

Was the train moving when he heard the shots? If so that may be why he didn’t call?? Wasn’t sure the shots were literally RIGHT there??

Not sure until the morning news :(

There are about 5 posters that are disingenuously questioning everything and painting any post or comment that makes the city look bad as wrong or dishonest.

Anyone wanting to have some fun could probably do IP traces on them.

Who wants to bet at least one of them is tied to a BRPD office employee?

With just a description of the clothing and the time someone may have seen them walking at another location that has cameras. We could have possibly had photos of these guys days ago. It makes no sense why this wasn’t made public immediately. We need answers.

I wasn't there and didn't see a thing but I bet I could make a pretty accurate sketch

I have thought that for months about him. Asperger's was my guess.

It’s really not. It only seems odd now, knowing the results of what happened. As he stated, he thought Allison’s vehicle was turning around just as he was to drive away. He realized in the morning when he heard the news that it was the vehicle he saw.

True. Unless you knew the other car was shot at, you wouldn’t think to call. You’d think just more black on black crime. Let me get the hell out of here so i don’t get caught in crossfire. And you’d think that’s what the other car was doing too…

But they can sketch facial features that that narrow it down more than just 20 something year old 5’11 black male in a red and black hoodie

Yes, but that’s not what he’s doing. He’s just confused about straight forward stuff and asking general questions about shite that anyone would know

He describes the train at a “complete stop” initially, but then gives a vague timeline of “not 10 minutes later” when he heard the shots.

As several other people have suggested, the sound of the train on the audio sounds as though it is moving. And the audio captures the event +/- 30 seconds. So, the timeline would suggest that the train began moving at some point in the intervening 0-10 minutes.

Can you not potentially jump over the couplings of a very slow moving train?

Probably would be an 11/10 on the difficult and “this is suicide!” scales, but would it not be possible?

Could you do it when its stopped? Well thats your answer to a very slow moving train also.

Are you just like some lab rat that has never gone outside before and interacted with the outside world? You seem to have exactly no common sense when it comes anything not written in a book
