However, you had to wait for your money to be returned to you. I run everything I can through my Amex and if you don't take Amex I likely won't return to you as a merchant.

Yea that's not so much the issue anymore. You should be able to get that type of thing corrected pretty easily as mj said.

Main issue is missing on building credick and rewards.

Your money is not taken if your credit card number is stolen.

I didn't even have to call Amex when my number was taken, they called me

Thats really the main point here. Plus rewards like the $500 the wife and I just received for 3 months of normal expenses

Use Concierge just once and you wouldn't be asking this question. They are like little personal assistants that can set up just about anything for you.

My credit card has 80000 points waiting to be used. My debit card has no points. Hope that answers your question.

Chase wont always catch it. If someone gets your info with a debit card the rules of fraud are not in your favor nearly as much as with a CC. You should always avoid using a debit card online. Your liability on your CC is $50 dollars vs $500 or more on your debit card depending on how long it takes you to report it.

Someone can drain your bank account completely and the bank isn't required to return your money until a few weeks. Now most banks will but they don't have to. Not the same for CC fraud.

Those are not revolving credit types they are installment loans. Your score contains a component that judges based on the credit mix.

Is this a serious question? I try to never use my debit card if I don't have to. And a few days ago I just upgraded from a free Amex to one with a yearly fee.

Free money is cool.

Someone that has to ask this question likely does not have enough credit to qualify for a rewards card.

Never upgrade. You lose out on the signing bonus.

You'd have to be real bad off to not get an Amex charge card. I got a gold and a platinum back when my credit was only in the 720-740 range. I think you can get them at even lower scores than that. Now, an Amex CREDIT card is a different story.
