Power went out a few hours ago here in my Walker hood and I just assumed that entergy knew since the whole neighborhood is out. Neighbor just got home and was wondering how long it’s been out since he just called Entergy to report it and they didn’t even know. WTF? I just called and they said estimated restoration 6pm....tomorrow. TOMORROW.

No power in Louisiana is the worst. Can’t go a day without A/C or life is unbearable.

The large amount of people I've seen driving around with snow covering their back window reminds me of how lazy and retarded people are around here.

I know we're enjoying the snow and all, but this is even more important, especially with power outages.

Yeah, it's going to get pretty damn cold once the clouds roll out. They hung around long enough to keep the melt from really being on and keot the temp hovering in the mid 30s. Won't take long to dip below freezing when it clears.

Glad my power got back on.

It has been snowing crazy off hoo shoo too for the last few hours. And power still out. Entergy said it was on, we all kept calling and finally they said ok, I guess you're right. Now not coming back until 10 at least, but I bet longer. This is the crap part of snow, huh?

A chunk of snow fell off the New Bridge and landed and cracked my windshield this morning.

Scared the shite out of me. Insurance is covering the replacement windshield, so it's all good.

On a slightly related note, remember the people who were bitching yesterday about the decision to close schools today? Where are they? I haven't heard a peep from them all day...

Tigerinthebueche had areal hard on about it. FWIW, I drove about two miles down the road to check on some elderly family members and the roads were on the slick side. That was about 1pm. I don’t think that if I had school aged children that I would have wanted to have them on a school bus today.
