Coming down hard in da LP... lights just started flickering at work. I'm sure the power will go out right around the time the snow stops and the rain begins. Then I'll get to go home.

Here comes the last heavy band, looks like the rain line is creeping up along I-10 and will be to BR within the hour.

Weather.com shows the snow ending at 10 and switching to rain. I’d much rather this move out than have rain on top of the snow. It will all wash away so fast. Hoping that will end up wrong.

I don't see rain being a possibility. It's only going to get colder. If there is going to be precipitation, it's going to be snow where it's snowed already.

The real concern will be overnight. If the snow sticks throughout the day, the hard freeze tonight will make things very dicey.

Snow is fun to play in for a couple hours. Then I'm done with it until next year.

My dumbass didn’t consider that my directv would go belly up with such a snow storm. I guess I need to get up there and clean that damn thing off.

Nice dry powder is a totally different experience. You can do the driveway with a broom.

Well maybe someone from the Lutcher area can confirm. The radar showed snow there about 8:30 and now showing rain. Their radar has been spot on for intensity but I can't vouch for the precip type.

I assume it sees warming, either too much at the surface or maybe up in the atmosphere. I hope you are right, rain at the end of a snow event is the worst.

I’ve been trying to clean mine off. The longest item I have is a rake and it’s not quite doing the job to get the snow off.

Up here in Maine we use leaf blowers to get rid of snow.

Yeah, it can't warm up much with all the snow on the ground and still falling. Takes a lot of heat to melt all that. We're going to be sitting right at 33 or 34 for the rest of the day.

That's about as good a winter picture as you'll get in south Louisiana.

It's actually really light powder here. Pretty rare for South Louisiana
