Evolution of this "warm nose" several thousand feet above ground overnight will be key to snow potential. Euro erodes it before daybreak.



This is the sticky part. Models often times are too slow to cool the surface but, on the flipside, are too fast to erode the warm layer. The surface in BR never gets to freezing during the event so freezing rain is out. If the warm layer is stubborn then it's probably just more cold rain with less snow.

On the bright side, it will still be cold and rainy so it will be a slow murder night in NOLA and BR.

I don't think I've heard of any. Since we're not getting below freezing, I'd imagine the need to close roads is going to be associated with whether or not you get snow and sleet and accumulation where you are or whether you just get cold rain. Freezing rain and icing should be less of a concern given the temperatures we're expecting.
