There's an interesting divergence occurring between the models and the official outlets.
GFS, Euro, Canadian, and NAM are in agreement that BR will get 2-3 inches.
The NWS and the local affiliates are saying wintry mix but no accumulations.
We won't know until we wake up who was right.

Exactly. If I have to drive to work in ice/snow tomorrow morning and go over that damn bridge because the school system trusted someone who has no degree in meteorology over all the models and the NWS...well...

I don't think it is divergence. What it is is people taking the models and interpreting them. The models may be right but the snow may not stick, or it may be a mix of snow and sleet. So in a way, both the models saying 2-3 inches and the people predicting only a dusting on grassy surfaces may be right. You can't take the models totals verbatim.

very true, the soil i'm sure is still warm (we were in the 80s the other day) so what does fall will likely melt quickly.
