Is that a bad idea at this point? As off as the radar seems right now, we're not even sure how much precip we will see in Baton Rouge. If today/tonight fizzles out, why not wait an see what conditions are late tonight/early tomorrow?

I think LSU did just fine today and all the public schools are terrified now of two days off for nothing

Yup and once it hits the ground and the temps falling like A rock, there is no way students will be able to get there..........

Why take the chance? We know precipitation has fallen in WBR & EBR with temps below freezing.

Wasn't the original consensus that Tuesday would be fine for the most part but Wednesday would be questionable due to temperature and icy weather

Temperatures are dropping now and precipitation looks to jump up drastically around 5. LSU just didn't want to cancel two days back to back. I would bet they would be more likely to cancel tomorrow vs today

In ascension parish they are currently behind on hours. The teachers days have already been extended by 15 mins each day. This was a result of hurricane/Dec snow.

Must be by school because I work in an ascension parish school and our hours have remained the same all year

Ascension is following suit however. Kids will be put on buses at 1:30 and personnel held until 2:30.

Again. Must be by school. We put our kids on the bus at 12:30 and I was on the road to head home by 12:35
