My office just announced closure. Cold drinking day.

Still nothing from Tangi. Bus routes about to start.
I think we will be off tomorrow if there is any accumulation

There is no way they close if they can help it, especially if St. Tammany is open (which it is).

Got a text at 6:06AM stating our daycare in EBR is closed. Wtf

All schools in natchez MS are closed

Daycares follow EBR schools.

State offices in EBR are apparently still open at this time.

It looks like the wintery mix will hit in St. Tammany right about the time the buses are loading to head home. There is a real disconnect between protecting the integrity of public tax dollars, and the safety of the students (and the possibility of potential lawsuits). On the west side of the parish, some of these bus routes are two hours plus in duration and hit some hilly areas here or there. A half day like Washington Parish would have made more sense to me.

St. Tammany has zilch on their Facebook page or the website regarding the weather.

look for a 12pm dismissal

Which is a why this is a S show. Doing this at 4 am affects more than just the schools and bus routes. Daycares follow parish schools and also close, so look for every single parent in BR to be unable to come to work or furious, or both.
Also, there were kids at bus stops at 5:05. Makes me angry. EBR, you idiots!

I suspect St. Tammany will call for early dismissal at some point today. They made the right call earlier back in December but dropped the ball on this one yet once again. Par for course for them.
I also suspect there is a good chance I'll be heading home early too from work.

There are always kids waiting for buses at that time not far from where I live. I see them when going to gym in the morning. It's terrible. Not sure if they're transfer kids or what.

That's the part that ticks me off the most. I get not wanting to make a snap decision, but they don't even acknowledge a situation until they absolutely have to. I was looking at the surrounding areas, and all of their FB pages either said they were closed or monitoring the situation. Nada on StTPPS.
