It really started becoming obvious last night that there were some small scale issues that were going to keep totals down for a good chunk of S. La. These features are hard to forecast and you certainly can't fault the locals for sticking with the forecast.
There just wasn't enough "energy" to produce heavy enough precipitation to moisten the atmosphere up. You could see this all morning as radar returns just faded away as they moved towards BTR and areas S and SE.
Even so, it still looks BTR and points S & SE will see light precipitation that could ice up roads and bridges.

If you look at the future radar on weather.com, all this crap will be out of here by 3 pm.
