If you look at the future radar on weather.com
That thing is probably accurate about 5% of the time.

KPLC in LC radar shows heavy moisture between Houston and the state line headed east. I'm in Starks which is 6 miles from the state line in north west Calcasieu and the sleet/snow mix is coming down like a bitch now.

Yeah, the timeline on wafb yesterday had rain before 12 PM, then freezing rain/sleet from 12 PM - 6 PM, then sleet with snow mixed in from 6 PM - Wednesday AM.

I could be completely wrong but thats what I see giving the BR area the most precipitation, just a 100% guess

I don't know...I've only heard stories. Never had the pleasure of attending.

I've lived here most of my life, never heard of the goat thing but I know they used to wrestle a clawless bear there for bar tabs.

Doesn't matter how much precip is forming in the nw gulf. Radar clearly shows the entire system dropping south rather quickly thanks to high pressure building in north of us. It will continue to push all the moisture offshore as the day goes. I will admit i wasnt trying to hype the event but was warning it could of been catastrophic due to what models were showing. Guess that what I get for letting myself buy into them so much. This could end up a massive bust for everyone in south LA after all is said and done.
Also just to let everyone know the radar is showing all that sleet and snow in the upper atmosphere, not what is actually falling reaching the ground. Which is a lot lighter and less.
