Surprised there’s no thread on this yet. Looks horrible for North and South Carolina. Columbia power will be knocked out if the freezing rain predictions are true

frick. I have 8 guys driving from NOVA to Savannah to work on a project and it looks like they will be driving through the heaviest of it. Might have to delay leaving a day. I hate lost work days but I love safe employees.

Naming winter storms is foolish, so foolish that they're doing it in northern Europe now.
As someone else who is impacted by this storm, local weather basicly takes the map from Tropical Tidbits and mush it around the valley and ridge of Tennessee.
This one is going to be another balancing act of nothing-rain-ice and snow.
For us, it's a serious snow when the neighbors don't take their 150s out to relearn how to drive on snow on ice. We're three miles from a US Hwy and they do salt/beet juice it, only if it's not going to rain first. In a small county with a small budget wasted money gets remembered at election time.
