You're probably figuring things out and learning but if you're single there's always hot young chicks at Barrel 10.

That store on Sherwood near Airline was awesome.

It was. That was my favorite grocery store when I first moved to Baton Rouge in 1992.

There’s a Food Lion in Chattanooga that already does this. It’s awesome.

Winn Dixie sucks.

My roommate liked shopping there when I was at LSU. The new Rouses they’re building across the street on Burbank is gonna put Winn Dixie out of business.

Taps are pretty standard in supermarkets in the Raleigh, N.C. area.

Whole Foods does this.

Not on the Northshore. Do the South shore locations do this?

Not sure, they do it here in Austin:

The quality of Winn Dixie has gotten exponentially better since being bought out. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying WD is up there with Fresh Market or anything.

Rouses quality is not any better. They are obviously going for a quantity over quality. You can't claim to be "epicurian" when the local Sam's has better beef than you.

ETA. By quality at Winn Dixie I'm referring to the stores that have been remodeled. I know there are some WD's that have not been remodeled yet.

How can we get people to not pay attention to our high prices? Alcohol.

Schweggman’s Grocery Store on Airline Hwy 1974
Remember it well as they even had a barber shop and separate area that sold hunting and fishing stuff

WD has rep of being where the low income people shop so they have some work cut out for them if they wanna go toe to toe with Luckys.

Complete opposite in the small town I live in, Winn Dixie is the top tier option while the local grocery store that’s been around for 60+ years caters to the so called lower income individuals.

Winn Dixie is a “budget” grocer. Their prices are far from high. Which is why this move doesn’t make much sense.

Here they are competing with Publix, Luckys, and Native Sun. Doesn’t help that WD is closest to the section 8 and other low income parts of the island. I just go wherever is convenient.

What the...? Maybe at your local Rouses. Not the one I shop at.
