I don't think Hayes is a threat to society and I feel it was a really bad chain of events that took place this past spring that left a beloved saints player dead. Hayes has been in one of the worse jails in America for the last 8-9 months. I'm honest when I say I wouldn't feel any less safe or that justice wasn't served if he walks out of they god forsaken place of OPP next week.
I do feel sorry for RS and his poor children, but there was some decisions made by their mother and father that day and night including the company they held, that I feel had just as much to do with the tragedy as any other decisions made by any other parties.
Exactly.
The fact that some here can't accept that two different people can come to two different conclusions is mind boggling.

I don't think too many of y'all have been particularly accepting of my opinion on the matter. Does that boggle your mind too, or does it only work in one direction?

Well considering I know the ADA's star witness and had lunch with him just this week, I'll stick to my statement that "I wouldn't feel any less safe or that justice wasn't served". And Hayes didn't 'evidently' commit a major crime, but there was a major tragedy.
Eta: meant prosecution not defense
Well, your friend did a horrible job of making it sound that way in court. If you have some inside info to share, spill it.

Anyone that chases another person down, slams into the back of persons vehicle, approaches the vehicle with a gun, shoots person 8 times in the back, is a threat t to society IMO.

So the sentence for murder should now only be 8-9 months??

Sure lets blame the victim

Hayes vehicle was the one approached with what neutral witnesses called 3 agressive and angry men

I'm watching a WWLTV FB commentary/interview of Chick Foret. He's said that the jurors can't take notes ... WHY?
Can they at least ask for portions of the transcript while in the jury room?? Foret said he's studied the case for months and the jurors have had since Monday and that he (Foret) has been following for months and would have to review notes/his tweets to set things straight.

Your mind reads like news site clickbait.
Breaking news: High speed chase ends as car slams into car's rear end, armed man jumps out of car and shoots unarmed black man in back 8 times.
You are basically the definition of taking things out of context.

We know through witness testimony that Smith and party approached Hayes vehicle
We know through evidence Hayes shot Smith by smiths vehicle
So the main thing the state needs to prove is that hayes follows Smith to his vehicle not out of reasonable fear for his life
And they didn't. The state to me didn't produced any evidence of any testing of why the shootings occurred. And since the burden of proof is on them to show that he murdered Smith not out of reasonable fear, I think he should walk
The state couldn't produce any witness that even saw the shooting, much less could say it wasn't out of reasonable fear

He didn't post every last detail. You can't help yourself but to still take up for Hayes.

You're basing this off of tweets from someone in the courtroom?! Got dam you're dumber than I thought

quote:yes. I have stated multiple times I am only basing it off the tweets, which is a huge difference than being there. That is what we are all giving our opinions on you dumbass. That is all us message board jurors have to go off of. So should we just cancel this thread since none of us are there you needle dick prick?
