it was also mentioned that the murder weapon was actually registered to O'Neal... even though Hayes was the 1 who possessed it/practically owned it

just throwing that out there for posterity

guns arent registered to people. when you purchase a gun you do a background check. after that there is no registering of a weapon when it changes hands or anything.

oneal may have purchased the gun and then gave or sold the gun to hayes.

Reading this, there was a time from 2010 till 2014, thatch could not purchase a weapon due the felony charge against him. Wonder when Mr. O'Neal purchased the gun?

I still can't get past the guy who was at Half Moon who said Smith did nothing to lose his life
Even though that said witness said he did not see Hayes nor smith the moments leading up to the shooting, because he was focused on Hernandez and O'neal?

To me, he is almost useless. He did not have eyes on the most important part. This is why I said I feel like the States case painted a picture of Hernandez/Oneal and not Hayes/Smith

the stories coming out of the courtroom said "registered"

just reiterating what was said in court

O'Neal's name was on his gun (the revolver)... Smith's name was on his (the .22)... O'Neal's name was the one Hayes had (the .45/murder weapon)

No, made that comment for lnch for arguing about guns. He obviously didn't have a clue.

Eta...not sure why you think it's creepy. Maybe if I was responding to you but I wasn't. How paranoid are you?

If the did this while Mr. Hayes had a pending felony, it is called a straw purchase and is against fed law and will get u a visit from ATF.

But I just don't think the state has really made any case that hayes didn't fear for his life

Sigh. You're so hung up on this, as if its a mathematical equation or something.

The jury either believes the fear was reasonable or they don't believe the fear was reasonable.

They either think he acted reasonably based on that or he didn't.

Stop with that stuff that you think the DA has to put on some magical testimony that proves he wasn't in fear. That isn't how it works.

If you believe his fear was reasonable based on all of the testimony, then you move on to the next step.

If you don't believe his fear was reasonable, then self defense is out the window.

Try to think of it like that. There's no in between. It is one or the other.

None of this is even relevant at this time.

I'm aware there are more than just external safety mechanisms for guns. This is the third time you refuse to stop bringing me up from much earlier int thread.

You say I'm the terrible poster, but you've literally added nothing to this thread with any of your posts besides bringing me up.
