I dont see why people ride them considering how easy it is for your next ride to be your last.
Because living your life is far superior to spectating others living theirs.
Everything you do in this life is a calculated risk, and there are things to help reduce that risk as a rider which fewer people do like riding courses and extended training, avoiding more risky roads and traffic, being conscientious of your surroundings, etc, although nothing is fool proof, but I guess you can spend your life fretting over what could happen, playing everything very safe, or you can choose to live that life you actually do have right now. To me, regret is something that can go both ways, but if you’ve never really experienced riding, you can’t really understand why people value it so.

It will always be more about other drivers than anything else. They're the biggest threat. A friend of mine is paralyzed from the waist down now. His accident, in no way whatsoever a fault of his own, is why I stopped riding.
This is why I sold mine years ago. Too many slapdicks in F-250s with truck nuts checking their Instagram accounts at 75 mph.

These folks will have to do this some more-

It’s similar to a lot of the issues with bicycles but at a much higher speed.
This. I hit a rut while riding a bike and flipped over the handlebars. The reality check of the risk of driving something similar at higher speeds hit me immediately.
People who ride motorcycles are either already handicapped or soon will be.

Either you don't drive anywhere or you're blind. Baw! I drive 1k miles a week. Motorcycles are everywhere!
And the only people I hear say the ev sales are increasing are the "fact checkers," who say everyone else is wrong.

You sound clumsy and uncoordinated. Perhaps riding on two wheels isn't right for someone of your abilities.

They were much more fun 50 years ago when there were less than half the number of vehicles on the road. Frankly, you’ve got to have a death wish to ride the things on regular roads around bumper to bumper idiots on phones.

Go to your local hospital. They probably average close to one motorcycle wreck a week

With my knee and back I’d have to get a trick or can am. Then when some summa bitch laughed at me I’d have to get off and whoop his arse

We should, but we won't.

A motorcycle salesman said, "there are only so many fat guys with beards we can sell them to".

I have 3 kids and work from home. Only motorcycle I would want is a dirt bike.

I work in the ER and see some terrible things involving motorcycles. Saving money on gas isn't worth it if it means a fractured pelvis & femur along with degloved skin from sliding on concrete.

I have owned at least 1 motorcycle for most of my life. At times, I have owned up to 3.
It’s just too dangerous to ride on the road with distracted drivers. I have changed to more adventure bike trails. Safer and less stress.

It's just such an exhilarating feeling. One of my bikes is absolutely terrifying. Just completely nutso bonkers insane. Violent in every sense of the word. Yet it's utterly addictive. It gives such a thrill, you want more and more.
Conversely, I have a 30 year old Japanese cruiser that I love just putting around on as well. Just sitting back, enjoying the scenery so much more than from inside a car.
Yes it's dangerous, but everyone that's ever ridden has that first OH shite I'M ABOUT TO DIE moment, and you either give it up, or accept the facts and keep on going.

at aged 70, holding the Harley upright at a stop sign was getting to be a challenge. Bought a Frankenstein conversion kit and made it a three wheeler.
Totally different ride, a two wheeler is guided, a three wheeler is steered , but I can generally keep up with the younger folk. Use it a couple times a week in small town. Great acceleration and that beautiful Harley exhaust sound. And my risk of a life shorting event grows smaller each year

Probably not until traffic gets so congested the speed is reduced to 30 mph.
Bumper to bumper traffic 80+ MPH, is not conducive to open vehicle transportation.
