This guy was burning trash and it got blown into a neighbors house and she had to be rescued by a sheriff’s deputy then it ended up burning into the woods

Maybe y’all can get some axes and pitchforks and March down to the jail to demand justice.

1.05" of rain in Shreveport last night... But the power is out again.

5 local schools are closed because of the power outages with an estimated restoration time of 10 pm tomorrow. Majority to come back on sooner.

Good news though, it's only getting to 90 degrees today.

God’s got jokes over here in the Ruston area. It rained really hard for 10 seconds, then it was over.

Ours went out Thursday during the storm that blew through, I guess around 4pm. Power didn't come back on till 10:20 AM. Hard night that was without power, no AC. Drove around the neighborhood twice during the early hours, nary a truck to be found. Finally show up at after 8AM, couple of hours to fix post, voila. I guess they deemed it necessary not to try a fix during the dark hours.

Where is Merryville?

Go to DeRidder. From there take 190 west. If you come to LA/TX border, you’ve gone too far.

We went through this in BR a couple of weeks ago.

Apparently there are hours restrictions on the line workers relating to the Heat Advisories that have been in place the last few weeks. I was told by one of the crew members (after watching them leave my neighborhood at dusk for no ostensible reason and return at 8 am the next day). Allegedly an OSHA or union thing.

The fire near Merryville is 35-40 miles north west of Lake Charles.

I live about 35 miles from the fire. We got some rain yesterday and more today. About 1.3" total. Some areas have gotten a lot less.

The 5 PM news is showing most of the rain is a little east of where the fire is located.

Yesterday there were about 5 fires in SW Louisiana.
