Did you not read the Canyon Lake PD FB link on the first page of replies? Apparently a lot of people didn't.

The two nearest major metros are Austin, where the media is far more concerned with excoriating citizens for misgendering trans people, and San Antonio, where the media likes to debate whether the Castro brothers should be allowed to tear down the Alamo. Neither media is going to publish something like this that doesn't fit their narrative.

I think this story is primarily made up because I don’t believe an elderly ex military British man would not have health insurance

What are the fricking odds of a young black male even being in this area? You could go a month here and not see a black guy in that area. So random and scary.

I used to have a job that involved driving around some of the neighborhoods on the south shore of Canyon Lake. One thing that I found interesting was that there were at least 3 different houses along my route that flew the confederate stars and bars flags. These were not the regular rebel flags, but the design that was the official flag of the C.S.A. Not that I had a problem with any of that, but I found that interesting.

Also there are more homeless people than you would think that live around Canyon Lake. Most of them are ones that live in cars, but there are some that try to live off of what they can get from summertime tourist.

That is quite the heck of a backstory to encourage a bigger tip.

I'm the OP and I'm starting to question if it was bullshite myself. I can't find anything about it anywhere.

He said the date was March 15th. The link on the first page by Chad was for Spring which is by Houston.

This supposedly happened in Spring Branch, totally different place.

The link is to a FB page for police scanner in the Houston area. The reference in the FB post to "Canyon Lake" is to Canyon Lake Dr. (hence the "Canyon Lake & Elmhurt Dr."...its an intersection in Spring TX.

There are a lot of local news papers and other sources that report crimes in Canyon Lake all the time...no MSM censoring on this one. It just didn't happen.
