BRPD is fricking useless.
A few years back, I was in the car with my wife and her mother. We were pulling up to the intersection at Bluebonnet and Highland when the car behind us hit us and a different car sideswiped us on the driver's side then sideswiped the car in front of us and took off. I got the make and model of the car that sideswiped us, my wife got the plate numbers, and my mother-in-law got a description of the guys in the car.
We got out of the car and talked to the guy who hit us from behind. The black Honda that sideswiped us hit him from behind and that's why he hit us. On the road right next to our side mirror, was the passenger side mirror for a black Honda Civic. We gave the cop who showed up all of our information and what we saw. Never heard shite from them. I called a couple of times and my wife called three or four times and we got the run around from BRPD every fricking time.
Finally, she had enough and did her own research and got the records for the license plate number pulled. Wouldn't you know it, it was registered to a black Honda Civic. The address it was registered at was the same address listed for a man with a Hispanic last name. Oddly enough, my mother-in-law told the cops at the crime scene that there were three Hispanic men in the car. Strange, that. My wife went to the address and guess what she found in the driveway. That's right! A black Honda Civic with a fricked up passenger side and champagne colored paint transfer from a vehicle it hit. Guess what color my wife's car was. The coincidences keep building.
My wife got pictures of the car and went straight to the nearest police station with what she'd found (this was before they moved into Women's old building). And they basically shrugged their shoulders and did nothing. Multiple hit and runs and the BRPD did fricking nothing. Our insurance had to eat shite (probably actually the insurance of the poor S.O.B. who got hit first because he rear-ended us) because the BRPD couldn't be bothered to go pick up a guy who hit three different cars and kept trucking.
Best part? The guy lived two blocks from the police station. They could have walked over to get the guy.
I'm not surprised BRPD did nothing to help since

Seriously is BR such a shithole town that unless the crime fully succeeds and results in murder; the cops don't GAF?
Basically. I got held up at gunpoint outside of my apartment (across from little cesars at the north gate) when I was at LSU. Went to the gas station on the corner to wait in a well lit area for the cops. Overheard the cops on the radio calling me a dumbass for being in a dangerous area. Nothing ever came of the incident. BRPD has a weird definition of “protect and serve.”

I've been in 4 armed robberies in East Baton Rouge Parish.
One was solved.
Two friends were shot and the shooters were known by name and address and given to EBRSO. Both victims were unarmed(not in a confrontation at all).
Neither shooter was ever arrested.
So much crime goes unsolved we don't hear abou.

Yes.
BRPD has taken notes from NOPD’s playbook
(And I had family members who were NOPD)

I get ya fr33manator and understand this may get to the root of the problem, just hate seeing money given to people that assist in the issues of our city

Yeah, I know that. Was only replying to your post where you posted the videos for him. That's my fault--I should have been more clear.
But I don't want those fricktards knowing that I'm looking for them and them having my full name, cell phone and place of employment. I get what he's trying to accomplish; but not enough juice for the squeeze in that scenario for me.

That was me boss. I felt bad in a way cus all I had was like .75. I even offered her money. She refused. Now help me. Why would she refuse that?
And she was outside playing like 5 scratch offs when I approached her.

It’s at times like this you wanna take justice into your own hands. There’s plenty of places that are accessible by airboat only where the wildlife will take care of the evidence

Look, if I could call in an air strike on the area I would, but you have to catch the bait to get the big fish you are after. And as I said that ain’t me.
But we have a legit psycho attacking defenseless women at 7:30 am at a busy gas station. You have to get your hands dirty if you want to find the scum at the bottom of the barrel

I know, and I know that you want this all settled for you and your wife, just hate seeing money being handed over to someone who will not use it for good use. BR has a helluva homeless program but because of drugs we are seeing more and more "homeless" take cash only and not food to purchase more drugs which contributes the scums of BR

Woman fitting that description was at Airline and Old Hammond today around 2:00 PM

It's really simple to get away with it. Doesn't take much planning. You just can't tell anyone about it but it would be extremely easy to give them more unsolved crimes.

My best guess is he's fricked up dope and had this grand delusional idea of hitting a easy target with something and taking their wallet/phone/purse/etc.
Then when he actually hit her and she screamed. He sobered up in an instant and thought WTF am I doing?
Happens a LOT in armed/strong arm robberies. You hear about apologetic robbers all the time. Happens when they see the fear and trauma they cause in victims.
That's a good indication it's a drug addiction and not a genuinely evil POS.
This. I wouldn’t be stressing out trying to make sense of the situation. Either he was crazy or an addict or both. And ultimately that’s all the reason in a nutshell right there.

Another reason to live in St George - you get EBRSO
I live in Old jefferson, EBRSO territory
Couple years ago my wife and then 2 year old were napping when the house alarm went off
She woke up in a panic called 911. Then called me
I made it from downtown to Old Jeff, no sheriffs ever showed. They called like an hour later seeing if they were still needed

Did y'all happen to notice her speech inflection when he told her he was looking for him? She repeated it back to him in a manner that makes me feel she's concerned that people are on the lookout.

I wish we could pinpoint areas of Baton Rouge that would be fire bombed. Nothing but cancer dwells and spreads into the good areas.
