He said everything is normal. There is nothing anomalous happening. US Military bases have been getting overrun by drone incursions since 2022. Langley AFB, which is a stone's throw from the White House and Pentagon, had an incident in December 2023 that forced a squadron of fighters to leave and go to another base because they couldn't conduct their flight exercises. This is absolutely not normal, it has just not been widely reported so people don't realize how bad the situation is.

Why?

Okay, quick lesson on how classifications work and why.

This is going to be dumb, but whatever, bear with me.

If I used a SAP and collected that LSU won the national championship in 2019, the fact that LSU won is not classified. I can walk out of the SCIF and say that. It’s open source. It’s obvious to everyone that it happened.

If I said I got that information from SAP XYZ123 and I was able to get that information on that SAP because that SAP uses LMNOP tech to gather such information, that’s classified.

Some things are classified because the information may not be something usually classified, but by releasing that information, it would compromise a source. It would draw a direct line between me and the source, even if the info was mundane, but not widely known.

Let’s say I found out President Jack arse from Jack assastan was to wed his daughter to Prince frick head from frickheadastan and I am the first person to know this. I found this info out through the the president’s mistress.

There is nothing particularly classified about some marriage. It’s something that will definitely hit the state cables sooner or later and be widely known. The fact that I have a source that close would be compromised if she is the only person he’s told. Hence, it’s classified and remains classified, even when the wedding announcement is made.

And then there is other shite that is classified because of the actual info. For instance, if I was hanging out with the MOD of some middle eastern country, and he told me about troop movement He knew I was a US official. He was fully witting. That information itself could be classified due to content.

Just because it was said inside of a scif, it doesn’t make it classified. If that is the case, a whole lot of dick jokes have been removed from the lexicon.
