My ex is about to be married again. Her 3rd, if it happens. This is here 2nd engagement since we split. Dude has no idea what he's getting his self into. Both of her parents have mental issues. She got the crazy from both sides.

Serious red flags when someone has been married a bunch of times. But then again, people always think things will be different this time.

No. He didn’t say that. And that’s not the definition.

When I was in college, I worked at a plant. Woman in the office was on her 3rd marriage. First two husband left her for a man. Always wondered how bad that pussy must be, to make a man want some dick.

I don’t know a single person that has been married more than twice. It has to be a serious statistical anomaly for a person to wed more than 3x.

Met a consultant that was on his 7th. It is not an anomaly for people that work rotations for weeks at a time.

Worked for me in a way, I’m my wife’s 3rd marriage, she’s my 2nd,
. It was 20 years between divorcing her 2nd husband, and marrying me. We were good friends for several years before life events put us in a position where we could date each other. Have been together 23 years, and I would marry her again tomorrow without thinking twice about it.

I work with seniors/elderly people. You'd be surprised how many have been married 3+ times.... some of them 5+ times. It never ceases to amaze me. At what point do you just say we'll live together as if we're married, but not marry.

When you are elderly there can financial incentives to bring married concerning social security, pension payments, and paying for long term care.

My dad is on #3. 2nd marriage ended via a glioblastoma, so I'm certainly not gonna hold being widowed against him.

Marriage is a union of property.

Have you found a house you like and then wanted another one?

Love is different than marriage.

Death of a spouse or more than one spouse. Lots of folks feel happy and comfortable married. If you read up on this, you’ll find that happily married folks want that love again. That’s why you see widows and widowers marry more quickly than you might have expect.

Women frequently want to change him so he’ll be a better man, husband and father. Men generally don’t want that, they like who they are.

That dynamic, changing some things you should but you resist, and not changing things that really don’t matter but she won’t quit trying I’d say will generally determine if it’ll last or it won’t.

I changed some things I needed to, and she did too. I didn’t things I didn’t want to, and she quit pushing trying. Occasionally mentions it, I mean she is a woman and she can’t completely quit trying to get her way, which opens negotiations for things I want.

So it becomes a give and take, instead of retreating to your corner and come out swinging when the bell rings. That’s how you keep the same one for 4 decades and counting.

I would ask the question of why would anyone get married the first time.

I already went through a divorce over 4 years ago. There is no way I’m getting married again. It’s just not worth it
