You see people get married 3,4,5 times etc.

Considering the expense/hassle of weddings, divorces, splitting of assets, child support, alimony etc I just don't get it.

First one didn't work out, ok try again.

Second one didn't work out, ok maybe this marriage thing isn't for me.

Wasn't it Einstein that said "The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result"?

I work with seniors/elderly people. You'd be surprised how many have been married 3+ times.... some of them 5+ times. It never ceases to amaze me. At what point do you just say we'll live together as if we're married, but not marry.

A former coworker of mine got married to the same girl twice. They divorced twice too. I think he went with someone else for marriage #3

Most think it’s the other person and not them that is the problem.

I've been married and divorced 3 times. I'm also an alcoholic and all 3 ex wives are alcoholics. The last 2 weddings were in Vegas . To answer your question not being a serious, reliable, self respecting person and being with women who are that way too.
