I'll vaccinate against anything that has the potential to make me sick as shite This is such a weird question If you don't want it don't take it you fricking Nancy
To think people would consider it as not “living your life” if you make a personal decision to get the vaccine.

No it doesn’t. First of all, they are FDA approved.
No vaccine has FDA approval. EUA is NOT approval. Hell, the military can't even mandate COVID vaccinations because none are approved.

Second, does this board really want to go down the road of the Biden Admin being the barometer of what works? We love government red tape now?
The vaccine was developed, authorized for emergency use, and first administered under Trump's administration (FEDGOV). Biden's FDA is now managing and tracking vaccinations (FEDGOV). Is FEDGOV to be trusted on this issue or not?

To end this government bullshite.
What a great, scientific reason, to take a vaccine.

I can go to the Caribbean without a vaccine. There are US territories down there and they are coming here without vaccines as well.

Because my body, my choice.

Did you act this way for the flu shot?
If you would go back to the old flu shot threads, yes, you would see that I’ve always pushed for people to get vaccinated because I think they are a net positive for society.

Never had the flu shot
Never had the flu
Never had the flu

How come you never asked this question for the flu shot?
I did ask this question for the flu shot, have never had one, and have contracted the flu exactly once.

100% wrong. They were granted emergency use authorization. What is that? From the FDA....
quote:
Under section 564 of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FD&C Act), when the Secretary of HHS declares that an emergency use authorization is appropriate, FDA may authorize unapproved medical products or unapproved uses of approved medical products to be used in an emergency

I got the vaccine because I’m a cancer patient on lifetime chemo. I don’t really give a frick one way or another as to what other people do as far as the vaccine goes. However, I will say that this virus seems to be a crap shoot as to the severity of the disease and the long term effects of getting the disease. The odds are definitely in the favor of a healthy, fit, and under fifty person . I can see both sides of the argument if you are willing to take the chance, no matter how small, of catching COVID then I think it’s a personal health care decision that should be reached between you and your doctor and no one else.
The rhetoric on both sides of the debate can get pretty radical and mostly full of misinformation so I think it’s your responsibility to make an informed decision either way. It’s really not mine or anyone else’s business to decide for you.
Anyway that’s my 2 cents worth lol

Between this thread and the sister thread posted by Ajo Devil there’s not much overlap in posters. Hmmmmmm

When, not if, you get the flu you will understand.

Why would a sane person make this post?

So when they are approved next month, you'll line up to get it right?

Flu is also deadlier than covid.

My aunt was apart of the moderna trials. She is a pediatric neurologist and wanted to do her part to end a global pandemic. For her signing up for the trial was an easy decision. But then again she is has never been a sheep willing to mooch on the braver members of the herd for protection.
But go ahead OP. Continue your free loading ways. We producers will continue to carry the water for this country.

I'm desperately gonna want the pic of your shocked face if this thing turns south in a few months, with a post from you saying "How in the ever loving frick were they allowed to inject people with a substance that never gained federal approval?"

You’re far less likely to contract COVID-19, thus far less likely to transmit it to others.
The fewer people that get this virus without immunization, the less likely two things occur:
1. Someone immune compromised gets it
2. Virus further mutates
Vaccine has been given to hundreds of millions of people. Trials faced unprecedented scrutiny, just in a truncated timeframe. If you don’t get it, that’s fine, it’s your call - but don’t act like you know what the frick you’re talking about because you don’t.
And I’ve been an “open it up for young healthy people” champion since last April.
