Why when we have our contacts on we can’t see when we also put on our glasses?

Wouldn’t you be able to see through both simultaneously or is that just me?

You'd be taking double corrective actions that would obfuscate your viewing field

This made my head hurt and I wear neither glasses nor contacts.

I’m not sure you’ll get a clear answer

I'm 42 and the only one in my household now that doesn't require glasses or contacts. I know it's coming though

Are you asking why you can't see when you double your prescription?

It’s like crossing streams in ghostbusters.
Just no man, just no

Hand your glasses to someone with 20/20 vision. Do you think they would be able to see through walls?

You’ll be able to see through both simultaneously but you won’t be able to see shite except in your peripheral.

Glasses, contacts, and Lasik all perform roughly the same function, redirecting light to focus on a specific part of your cornea. That's what enables you to see objects clearly. Redirecting the light twice, in an unintended manner, causes said light to go to the wrong part of your cornea.

45 here and I now have a prescription. Seeing small print up close recently became a challenge.
With glasses, the small print now looks like I am seeing in high definition up close.

What you said is correct, except it’s your retina, not cornea.
