You’re not wrong OP, but you’re an idiot troll to have posted this on a forum that is filled with people from SELA who are still in a shite situation from Ida. Either you’re retarded or trolling.

Why are you complaining about it?

I think Ida was enough for the year

If Ida had hit Texas 90% of the people in this thread would be agreeing with you.
Most people can only be objective when others are the victims. Just like most of the conservatives in La turn out to be fakes when you threaten their handout like TOPS.

But to actually answer the OP, there have been 20 named storms so far in 2021, with 7 hurricanes, and 3 of those as major storms (Cat 3+). The predictions were 16, 7 & 3 respectively.

2021 is also now the 5th most expensive season and costs are still coming in for Ida.

All of these pre-season predictions were considered to be above average years; so what more do you want?

A couple of the named storms this year shouldn’t have been.

But IMO it was a shite season because Ida was so severe and made landfall in a vulnerable area.

3 run blast in the bottom of th second named Ida.

Still, a one-hitter is a damn good show.

We got a zinger with Ida but the rest of the entire season has been a huge nothing-burger. Any of our amateur meteorologists wanna explain the lack of US landfalls in 2021 so far?

You deserve to rot in hell for posting this after what people went through with Ida

Take a drive down to lower Lafourche and Terrebonne Parishes. It will take years for this area to recover. Some of it will never come back. I have friends that live down there and they lost everything. Some folks still don't have electricity. We seem to have a "governor" who really doesn't care about this situation and what happened in Lake Charles with Laura ( I hope I am wrong).
