There is a sonic in every city and decent sized town in Middle America. At least in my town, it was family friendly and it was a spot where a lot of high school aged kids would meet because we usually had friends that worked there.

Several years ago, on another board, a couple of Alabama fans didn’t like each other. One night the ignorant one invited the other guy to meet him at Sonic , I think in Anniston Alabama. The brighter fellow, who had fun antagonizing dumb posters, didn’t show but the ignorant fellow videod riding around the Sonic and hooking up there with his equally ignorant friend. They were roundly mocked that night and forever thereafter.
