Why it's best to not use blinkers on the road

I wish I could keep track of then number of times I put my blinker on to change lanes only to have the car in the soon to be new lane, who is 2 car lengths behind me still, take this as a cue to immediately speed up in order to ensure I am not able to get in front of him. This happens almost daily it feels like. Keep in mind I am not a slow driver that is holding up traffic, and even if I were there is no indication of this being the case. It's just the road is littered with people who simply do not want anyone driving in front of them.
I still get over though. They always hit their brakes to ultimately let me over, and the best is when they lay on the horn to let me know there frustrations. My favorite are the ones who are already behind you, see you put your blinker on to change lanes and then get into the new lane and speed up to prevent you from changing and being in front of them.
I've decided it's best to not give people the indicator that I am changing lanes so that they don't go out of their way to prevent it from happening.
I'm stopping this OP now before I get worked up about zipper merges and the dickheads that try to block the lane 1 mile prior to the merge so that you can't "skip the line"

Are you a midget or are you part of a squad that kills midgets?

I’ll probably just pass you on the right. Then I’ll get back in the right lane where I should be

TBH I usually do the same for the same reasons.

If everyone you meet is an a-hole...

At speed that's a tight window to fit into.

I hate when that happens. Hurts like the dickens.

Did you and I have an altercation yesterday?

I use blinkers regularly. I also use flashers if it's raining hard enough my wipers can't keep up on the highest setting. I know it's a touchy subject here but it's a rule of thumb I've followed since I started driving.

I use my blinker as i change lanes. Not before.

Here's OP just innocently requesting lane changes on the highway

Or, you're one of the assholes that think using your blinker gives you the right to cut people off.
"Didn't you see my blinker????"
a-hole.
"Didn't you see my blinker????"
a-hole.

Of course it does. For example, my dad is a terrible driver, but he thinks it's everyone else on the road.

It’s astonishing that my terrible driver father produced this world class road master
