Because we know Texas for getting that A&$ beat by Arkansas

Because they have Mexicans washing up on them.

How are you doing,brother?
I’m doing well. Stating busy with work my my models. I’ve moved from a field rep job with Cat to a product manger manger job with Cat. Takes some adjusting going from staying in a pickup truck going around all day to staying the the office (usually) and going from meeting to meeting all day. Im enjoying it though. There’s never a dull moment for sure.

The only beach worth a crap is S Padre
I know people that swear by Galveston and I don’t get it. I’d rather drive a little further and have white sand and clear water
Galveston is like the Louisiana beaches
This. All of this.
My family has a place south of Galveston near the NE tip of Matagorda Bay and the fishing is great but the beaches are terrible.

Texas beaches provide some of the best surf fishing experiences I've ever had. That's the only reason I go there.

We went here in 2020 when Florida didn't want anyone from Louisiana. I honestly loved it. The water was clear, the reason it doesn't look like Destin is the color of the sand. My favorite part is the fact you can just drive onto the beach. No lugging the cooler/tent/extra crap half a mile through deep sand. It's honestly vastly underrated, which is fine with me. We will definitely keep going back.
Went there all the time as a kid in the early 1960s, we loved it. My dad built a canopy that attached to the side of the family station wagon so we had shade while parked on the beach, those fold out beach canopies had not been invented yet.

Brown sand and water are ugly

Blame the Mississippi River. Satellite views of the Gulf routinely show the sediment flow that typically flow out from the Gulfport area to Corpus Christi and it is a major factor in the brown water.
No the water is brown because of all the Mexicans pooping in the water in Galveston.

Similar to Louisiana, any coastline within a certain proximity to the mouth of the river will be muddy and undesirable. You don’t start seeing proper beaches until well past Biloxi to the East.

Our Bitches are prettier than our Beaches

Because the Gulf of Mexico currents are the wrong direction for Texas to have nice beaches. We get way too much of the Mississippi's shite drifting our way.

Brown sand
Why are you racist against brown sand?
Posted on 9/13/21 at 12:28 pm to Methuselah
The reason is FL and CA beaches are very nice, and TX beaches are not.
South Padre aside, think Waveland, MS minus the sticky oil spheres that latch on to you there. Galveston is a nice historic town but its beaches are not why I would go there.

I went to South Padre once. Looked and felt exactly like Grand Isle.

We're on the wrong side of the biggest lateral line in the country. On the plus side the speckle trout don't seem to mind.

The Mississippi River dumps into the gulf and the currents push all that shite west. Exactly why the water is nice once you cross the mobile bay.
