Lots of empty shelves at my local wal-marks, but they have plenty of milk.

Because you can't wipe your arse with milk. It can't be used as a hand sanitizer, and no matter how much you put on a rag to wipe things down, it will only make your stuff stink when it sours.


Oh, and that whole limited shelf life comes into play too.

And yes, I know you can freeze it to use later, but I'd much rather freeze real food and not milk.

Milk is perishable. They have more frequent deliveries of perishables like milk and bread than they do for paper towels.

They might have been out all weekend, but had a regularly scheduled delivery an hour before you entered the store.
