Why is water at a gas station more expensive than beer?

I paid 1.88 for a bottle of water because I didn't want beer or a soda which were both cheaper. 
Can water just be a flat dollar?!?! How much money are these guys making, I mean gallon of gas is about the same price!

The soda fountain with the Polar Pops has a water fountain on it. Much cheaper than bottled. Your issue was buying a bottled drink, which is always more expensive

This. Get water with ice in a big cup out of the fountain or buy a gallon jug of water which will only be like 2 bucks
You're just paying for the convenience of the bottle
