Yes, those mastermind democrats that couldn’t manufacture a 2016 presidential victory have concocted this brilliant scheme of unleashing a virus upon the world, forcing Italy to practically shut its country down, and killing lots of innocent people across the globe, all to bring down Donald Trump.

I spoke to it, albeit in somewhat rambling form, in a post on that long arse thread about the virus that has spiraled into a left vs. right, good vs. bad, but muuuhh vs. muuuhh muh, and got downvoted to hell- mostly by the people in the thick of it.
Downvoted by the weak and by the partisan (they go hand in hand); which this country has plenty of.
The long answer is too long for the OT, which is a place that's indicative of the general public's intellect, which is shite, and therefore not worth typing out.
It comes down to our inherent fear of death and will to live being compounded by our easy-breezy 1st world problems, along with a fear and loathing of each other if we don't wholeheartedly agree (let's call it, "the downvote culture") to get to where we are now at.
I said that I believe this event will be a defining moment for the country, but it remains to be seen just how much defining it will do and to what capacity. I still believe that, and so far we citizens who, not too long ago, would've been having a dialogue on solutions and preparedness and who were still a durable people, are shitting the bed- mostly caused by infighting.
Our little boxed in world's with their glass walls are having rocks thrown at them, and so there MUST be somebody to blame- ANYBODY- and to hell with the logic on why.
It's pitiful how disgusting and weak and impressionable that the peoples, specifically the men, of this country have become. I'm ashamed of the legacy we will die and leave, but Lord willing, even though the history books won't say it, there's some solace in knowing that I am, was, and will be on the record as, "not being okay with it."

President Trump gives a very serious speech to the American public where he outlines constructive measures to deal with a national health crisis. Economic relief, medical testing, travel measures, waivers for copays, the possible trajectory of the disease, the importance of being a “ family “ during this crisis. Not one ounce of partisanship included in his speech.
The Democratic Party Chattering Class goes into immediate RAGING hysteria melt mode, and Informs America that their President is an incompetent racist and a xenophobe with no redeeming features.
