I disagree but will accept any response that is SUBSTANTIVE. Although the entire premise that a President, any President, can contain a virus by any other means than Authoritarianism. The fact is that ANY response in the US requires 1% sensible policy and 99% cooperation and unity. It’s about citizenship and social contracts, not being super screamy in your usage of the term “ Racistsexisthomophobe (!!!). So maybe you raging Democrats will at least consider cooperation and unity.

The politicization of all aspects of life is an old tactic of leftists the world over.
I love the irony of these posts
do y'all not understand that by blaming the other side, y'all are politicizing it?

You are such a reliable and relentless idiot. If you don’t understand that every single issue having the same answer ( Trump/Republicans/Anybody that disagrees with me is a Racist, sexist , homophobe that we must crush) is a MARXIST CONSTRUCT , you simply don’t understand your culture. Period.
I am asking you, against all odds and all evidence to THINK. It is not a sign of mental or intellectual health to address a national health crisis by pointing at the President and screaming “ Racist”.

As someone who voted Dem for years, if Obama were POTUS right now, the MSM would not be a panic level. Period.
This is all being done for a reason, while our biggest foreign enemy, China, laughs their asses off at us.

Wtf? Where did I even remotely argue that? Why must you rely on Straw Men rather than be an honest person? Why must you lie?

You're probably right. He had 3 positions in the upper-echelon of government he created SPECIFICALLY FOR PANDEMIC PREPARATION. He learned the lessons of the ebola scare and dedicated people and resources to preparedness.
Trump fired those people a couple of years ago....we didn't need them, apparently.

Seriously what could have been done with a higher number of positive tests? Tell more people than everyone to wash hands and social distancing? Isolate the infected instead of sending them home and to work.
That is the question that was posed. I responded that you isolate the sick instead of sending them home and back to work.
You said Trump told everyone to self isolate, so I am assuming you are saying that my criticism of the lack of testing to date is unwarranted because it would not have mattered? Is that not the case?
Did I misunderstand the intent of your comment and you are also critical of how long it took to get testing ramped up (still not there) given the timeline and the response by other countries?
Do you also think we should have widescale free testing to identify the infected or not?

Anyone that denies this is intentionally lying. The swine flu was much more fatal than this disease and infected a very large number of people, yet we didn’t have this type of hysterics.
What I also find very interesting is that people on this website who have always called for calm, social distancing and good hygiene but not straight up lock down are called head in sand retards. What ever

I'll leave my personal opinion on the matter out. Just curious as to why or better yet how does something like a virus become left vs. right. And for the record I'm a registered independent, just funny how everything has to always be politicized.
George Washington warned us in his Farewell Address about the dangers of political parties.

Well we remember the fawning coverage that Obama received during the Swine flu. It was somewhere between adulation and respectful. And it consistently reminded us of how superior it was to The GWB Katrina response, which we all know was because “ George Bush hated black people”.
I’m suggesting there is an easy documented history of entirely different coverage depending on which party is in office. And the media expectation that the other party should cooperate with the President, as long as he’s a Democrat. And resist, if he’s a Republican. I’m also suggesting that we consider discarding this phony narrative for the common good by being cooperative now, considering what is at stake.

I don't understand this logic.
Maybe this time we should try to NOT have 12,000 people die?
Maybe that is the reason for the precautions?

Why did we need to create three ultra high level positions when we have an entire government entity dedicated to disease control?

I’m not saying just live your life like normal and take no precautions. What I’m saying is this thing has been proven to be significantly less dangerous to Th e average person than other diseases we’ve had in the past yet people are treating it and acting like it’s the damn Black Death.
Yes avoid large social gatherings, yes wash your hands, yes keep distances. But good God people are freaking out

Is it party or is it performance? Have you ever stopped to think that maybe it's the latter?
