talk to people in northern Cali and they will out southern/conservative you in a hurry.

I saw more confederate flags on jacked up truck-nut trucks driving through Northern California than I ever have in Alabama.

Made the movie Green Room seem like a real possibility.

It pours for nearly 3/12 months straight.

If you want no rain, be jealous of Hawaii.

The real reason everyone is jealous is Tahoe...

I saw Lynyrd Skynyrd (the 90's version)twice. Once in Birmingham and once at the Shoreline in Mountain View. The crowd in Birmingham was relatively normal. The crowd in Cali had a couple hundred guys in full Civil War uniforms, rebel yelling up and down the lawn with huge battle flags. One of the strangest things I've ever seen.

I'm not jealous or obsessed with California. Lived there from 2006 until I retired from the Air Force in 2013. It is a great place but very expensive. Have no desire to go back except to visit.

California is the most backwards state in this country. I’m not jealous.

From the 1940s, to the 1970s, coastal California was the best place to live, probably in the world. Now the communist, anti-American trash and illegals have spoiled what was once considered the American dreamland.

Spent the last week in Southern California and absolutely loved it. Everything is expensive, but you can’t beat what SoCal has to offer for a short trip.

I’d never live there.

The water (ocean) sucks.
The beach sucks.
It's sunny every fricking day.
LA sucks.
Traffic sucks.
Great level of everything compared to here.
Good melange of food options.
Good melange of ethnicities (most are more mature and integrated, and thriving!).
Great schools.

There are plenty of awesome places in Cali, they're just all outside of the cities.
