HIV is no longer a death sentence. The meds can reduce the viral load so that it is not detectable. Magic can afford top quality medical care.

If he had unprotected vaginal sex with Jenny several times, it isn’t at all surprising.
The top ways to get HIV are to a) be extremely unlucky and get a blood transfusion in the 1980s (Arthur Ashe, Ryan White), b) use needles to inject heroin with people who are HIV+ and c) have lots of unprotected anal sex with people who are HIV+.
There’s a reason why plenty of extremely reckless rock stars never got HIV in the 80s as long as they had no interest in intravenous drug use.

Friend of mine began having back pain in March and April, diagnosed in June, was gone by late July. The cancer caused a stroke and he died in rehab trying to get strong enough to start chemo.

Didn’t he say in an interview a few years back he doesn’t have it anymore?
I’m guessing he did multiple tests to make sure he really had it. He has said recently he’s in the best shape of his life and feels better than ever.

Being HIV positive and having AIDS are two different things.
People that are surviving and thriving are HIV positive but do not have full blown AIDS.
If someone dies of AIDS related complications these days it's because they didn't catch the HIV infection early enough.....
