Why is it racist to call it "Chinese Virus" or "Wuhan Virus"?

Last I checked, Chinese is a nationality, not a race. So when people call it "Chinese virus", it doesn't include Koreans, Japanese, Vietnamese, Taiwanese. Again, last I checked, these groups belong to the Asian race. It's "Chinese Virus", not "Asian Virus".
And as a VN American, the more we call it "Chinese Virus" the better because it's a reminder to people where this thing came from. If we can't be honest with ourselves and learn from the mistakes of ourselves and others, how can we prevent the history from happening again?
One final thing, f*ck that fairy Jeremy Lin. He doesn't represent all Asian Americans.

It isn’t.
Those who say that it is are just carrying water for the Chinese Communist Party.

Because for the people that think it's racist, they view the world through a racist lens.

Because anybody who disagrees with a Progressive is a racistsexisthomophobe.
Here is the rule . Whenever any Progressive takes a shot at your language , that means he can’t defend his argument on the larger underlying issue. This is a case in point.

What I love is how progressives were all calling it “Wuhan Virus” when this thing first started hitting the news. Guess that was before the talking points had been issued.

I don't see it as being racist, but I don't see why the president thinks he has to use it. Many people, including Trump, are going out of their way to call it 'Chinese virus' or Wuhan virus. It literally has an official name and several other widely acceptable names. It certainly doesn't offend me in any way. I just don't understand why someone wouldn't use the official name unless trying to prove a point. And maybe that's Trump's endgame... to deflect responsibility by calling it 'foriegn' or 'chinese' b/c it makes it sound like it's their fault. It really seems childish. But this is a 73-year-old man that thinks calling people by schoolyard names is somehow cute and clever. Either way, it's working b/c the stupid journalists are focusing on mundane shite like this and ignoring the fact that Trump kept lying to everyone saying this was contained and not a threat.

I don't think it's racist, but why not call the virus by its name?
