I always believed.
They go crazy for animals, because the animals had no choice in their existance. Even if life was hard on them, they are aggressive, if its an aggressive breed. They will still love it, because the animal will show them love, in the form of unconditional love/non-judgemental love. A love no one really gets in life. So they can pair bond with the animals much easier.
As long as the dog/cat understands that this person is feeding me, thats all they need. Its a very simple dynamic of a relationship.

The last time I brought my dogs to the vet the.. medical assistance? Is that what they are called? It was two of them and there is a 97% chance booth were lip lickers.
